RP2000 Rotopod and Hexapod in one

The RP2000 is Mikrolar's latest system, combining the rotary motion of a Rotopod with the linear motion of a P-series.

This design incorporates 12 separate axes (6 rotary and 6 linear) for a unique 6 Degree of Freedom Parallel robot. It provides a larger range of motion (X, Y & Z) and more tilt (Yaw, Pitch & Roll) than a standard hexapod while still adding the rotational benefits of the R-Series.

The RP2000 operates on the same software package as all of our other products so there is no steep learning curve. Our software handles all of the decisions on how to get to where it needs to be and how to control the 12 motors to arrive at that location smoothly and accurately. Whether you are running a path file, controlling through a joystick or some other type of input the RP2000 can solve your motion needs.

All of our robots use the same core software but how you communicate with them is up to you. Whether you wish to use a language you are already familiar with such as G-code or if you require a custom designed solution such as feedback from exterior measuring devices, Mikrolar can write a custom interface to suit your needs.

More information on this machine will be provided soon. If you would like to request information or testing about the RP2000 please see our contact page here.
